SkyView Version 4.0 – Map of world-wide basis, better detailed mapping and better redundancy: p>
The version 4.0 firmware SkyView was introduced in Oshkosh and shipped immediately after (about the first of August.) P>
The most visible improvements in version 4.0 concerning the mapping SkyView navigation, with the data on the base map available worldwide. These include countries, cities, roads, rivers, railways. The representation of the airspace has been significantly improved, with a graphic that matches the style and color of the cards type Sectional. They were added details of European airspace, to reflect all categories of airspace. With the addition of these new data, SkyView now displays objects and names to create a navigation map highly readable and detailed. The SV-270 MAP-mapping navigation license is required to use the new map data base. P>
Version 4.0 also enhances the richness of the SkyView System with the reporting of network failures and inconsistencies among ADAHRS. All cable network SkyView have two sets of lines of redundant data. Now, if a fault occurs on a data line is visible on the display SkyView and all communications are automatically re-sent to the data lines are not faulty. In addition, if an aircraft is equipped with two modules ADAHRS, and if the trend reported or other information differ significantly between the two sensor modules, displays a warning to the pilot. The pilot can then be cross-checked by other instruments and disable any ADAHRS malfunctioning. P>
The autopilot SkyView has received several improvements under way, and version 4.0 includes support for the Rotax 912 iS. The SV-EMS-221 is a new form, required for this feature, for the Rotax 912 iS. Available from September 2012. P>
