Dynon SKYVIEW 6.0 adds ability IFR and VFR

Woodinville, WA, April 8, 2013 – With the upcoming release of SkyView 6.0, Dynon Avionics offers a highly capable automatic pilot, for experienced pilots flying IFR, and an alternative set of simplified controls for those who prefer the simplicity of the VFR.

For the pilot IFR, new features include autopilot SkyView VNAV, IAS hold, sequence mode, fully coupled approaches, a flight director with “single cue” (v-bar) or “dual cue “(viewfinder), and more. These new features complement the existing system of construction of ways such as: heading hold, GPS ground track hold, altitude hold, and the steering wheel control.

VFR pilots can navigate in comfort – without a steep learning curve – thanks to a new set of alternatives simplified controls of ‘autopilot SkyView. This new feature simplifies the autopilot mode for those drivers who use the most: HSI + ALT to follow navigation, such as flight plans GPS, and TRK + ALT to fly in the direction and the share that you choose. Each of these modes is activated by pressing a button.

Simplified / Expert: the selection of the autopilot control is via an option in the setup menu so that drivers can try both and see which works best for their style of flight.

Dynon has also added a new button to the level that can be activated from the menu of the SkyView or from an external switch. When pressed, the autopilot immediately bring the aircraft to straight and level flight. Pilots can also set an alarm for “minimal” to improve the knowledge and ‘approach to the situation in which to fly.

SkyView 6.0 will be available from June 2013, as a free upgrade for existing customers SkyView.
